Our trip to Brazil started in Sao Paulo and ended in Rio. After a 2 days family visit in Campinas (SP), we flew to Sao Luiz and discovered the following locations:Brazil Nordeste
Lencois Maranheses/ Atins – 1 day
It is a long journey to reach this wonderful desert. Not yet well known, the natural park of Lencois Maranheses is a desert of dunes. After the rainy season, the fresh water of rain fills the hollow of the dunes and forms lagoons which create an extraordinary landscape.
Located 250 km from Sao Luiz, the journey is not quick but of course it’s worth it! In Sao Luiz, you have to take a bus for 6 hours to go to barreirinhas. Then at barreirinhas, a 4×4 takes us to the small village of Atins, at the gates of the natural park of Lencois Maranheses.
Jericoacoara – 3 days
A full day travelling in a pick up allows us to reach Jericoacoara driving directly by the coast. We will chill and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of Jeri for 3 days. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the desert, relax in a hammock in the lagoons, eat pastels and drink Caipi!
Fernando de Noronha – 5 jours
A 5-day getaway to Brazil’s paradise: Fernando de Noronha is unique and very protected. Between natural pools, wonderful beaches, hiking and diving, we want only one thing, stay longer!
Rio – 2 days
No trip to Brazil without a detour to Rio. Two days are of course too short to visit, but you can already feel the atmosphere of the city. Like going sunbathing in Ipanema or a short tour at sunset at Corcovado. To escape the crowds, the beaches south of Rio (Grumari’s Ambiental Bairro Protected Area) offer an ideal getaway for a relaxing day in the nature.
